Camp Critters Vase – SOLD

Qiniso Mungwe, known as “Ardmore’s Monuments Man”, has celebrated the “Camp Critters” Sabie design with this magnificent masterpiece, where hoopoes, grey hornbills, genet cats, owls and bush babies mingle amid sweet scented Sabie flowers. Qiniso ignored realistic proportion and enjoyed placing an outretched winged hoopoe at the base of this vessel that adds weight and contrast to the lighter birds that sit on at the top of the urn.

Mandla Ngwenya has brought the piece to life with his sensuous use of green and orange tones that he paints with love and an eye to detail. The result is a work of art that depicts the delight of nightlife in the bush.
