Pomotso Mafura and c Mabaso have skilfully created a scene of ‘bush theatre’ in this tray that depicts  ‘God’s Goats’, taking their evening drink at the river’s bank. We can sense the impala herd’s tension and nervous energy.  Two impala rams with horns pulled back are positioned on the handles at both ends of the tray, rushing around protecting the female lambs who are all drinking in patterned order, with bent knees and tails in the air.

Siyabonga has painted grey lurking crocodiles, just below the surface inside the tray, adding more drama to the piece. Siyabonga’s use of colours remind us of the autumn tones of Mopani bush, reds oranges and lime green. This tray has been carefully considered and both artists have read each other well. They have harmoniously worked as partners adding value to each other’s creativity and forward such love to our Ardmore family.
