Monument to the Big Five This magnificent artwork was created by Qiniso Mungwe and painted by Jabu Nene to commemorate Ardmore founder Fee Halsted’s 60th year. The Ardmore Artists consider matriarchal Fee a member of the big five elite. Qiniso’s gourd-like-shaped work, coupled with Jabu’s sophisticated patterns gives the monument an air of reverence, it has a gravitas and stateliness befitting its majestic subjects.
