This stunning cabinet was created by Durban-based design gurus Egg Designs in collaboration with Ardmore Ceramic Art. Launched at Maison & Objet in Paris earlier this month, the bespoke piece epitomises great design, coupled with African luxe and a playfulness that we adore.

World Rhino Day!

It’s World Rhino Day on the 22nd September, a chance for us to reflect on these majestic animals. Tragically these gentle giants are losing their fight for survival at the hands of poachers, selling their horns to an Asian market, whose belief is that they can cure ills from cancer to hangovers. Here in South Africa the fight to save the rhino continues with some farmers beginning to rear herds of the animal in an attempt to swell numbers. This stunning sculpture, as magnificent as the rhino itself, was created by Sfiso Mvelase and painted by Jabu Nene.
