Our ceramics are made by local artists - ordinary people from the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal,
who are given training, materials, a studio and a guaranteed market for their work,
under the guidance of our founder, Fée Halsted.
Milo was born on the 26th March 1981 in Estcourt’s Emangweni area.
Milo is a painter and is the daughter of Cecilia Ntshalintshali who was a sculptor at Ardmore.
“I started at Ardmore in 2006 but had to stop for few years,” she says. “I came back in 2010 as I realised that I belong to Ardmore.
“I love Ardmore very much as my siblings and I have been brought up by Ardmore as my mother has been working here since we were young. I have now grown up and now I am feeding my children through Ardmore as well. I love painting bright colours and my favourite animals are the giraffe and zebra.”
Says Fée Halsted: “Milo is from the Ntshalintshali family and their natural artistic talent runs through her veins.”
In 2013 Milo left Ardmore and moved to Johannesburg .
