Mbokodo Award Winner!


Fée Halsted, founder of Ardmore Ceramic Art, has been honoured for her contribution to the arts in South Africa at the glitzy Mbokodo Awards, held at the Inanda Polo Club in Johannesburg, on Thursday, December 8.

She was nominated in the category of traditional and indigenous art, which celebrates women whose work, be it music, painting, handicraft or other form, is created using indigenous materials, based on traditional methods and meanings within the context of a given culture.

SANAA Africa Festival


As Ardmore is part of the South African matric syllabus it gave us great pleasure to exhibit at the SANAA Africa Festival at St Stithian’s College in Johannesburg, South Africa. During the event fine artists, poets, dancers, actors, fashion designers, filmmakers and musicians joined forces to celebrate Africa’s creative diversity.

The Birdcage!


This Saturday, 28 May, ’The Birdcage’ Ladies’ Event is all about “mink and manure” at the Greyville Racecourse, Durban! We will be showcasing our bird inspired treasures, ‘Ardmore Collection’ table linen fabrics and vibrant scatter cushions, as well as our handbags. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Great Zambezi!


All are welcome to come and join us at Patrick Mavros, 104-106 Fulham Rd, to view our incredible “The Great Zambezi” Exhibition from 18-29 May. Fée will be presenting a slideshow to showcase the inspiration behind the theme of the Hermès scarves and our latest 2016 collection at 11:30 on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st of May.

This week we honour Senzo Ntshalintshali, son of Bonnie, the first artist Fee worked with in 1985. They went on to win the 1990 Standard Bank Young Artists Award. Senzo joined us last year and has clearly received his mother’s creative genes. He has made some stunning Waterbuck Riders that have just arrived in London to be exhibited at the ‘Great Zambezi’ show at Patrick Mavros from the 18th – 29th of May.

Donald Greig inspires the Ardmore sculptors


The Greig Brothers, Christopher, Billy and Donald have been great supporters and friends of Ardmore Ceramic Art. This Friday, Donald spent the day in the clay studio sharing his wildlife sculpting expertise with Ardmore sculptors. We so appreciate visits of this kind as it encourages and inspires.

Ardmore event in London


The Zambezi River and its myriad species of plants and animals have inspired the stunning range of artworks for Ardmore Ceramic Art%u2019s The Great Zambezi event, which will take place at the Patrick Mavros flagship store in London from May 18 to 28. The river, which runs through Ardmore founder, Fee Halsted%u2019s country of birth, Zimbabwe, is also celebrated in the designs on the Herm’s scarf %u2018La Marche du Zamb’ze%u2019.
